Apr 21, 2017

The OpenAIS consortium are pleased to announce that they have signed a Letter of Intent with GGD Brabant-Zuidoost prior to entering into a definitive agreement regarding a pilot in the White Lady building to prove their innovative work to bring IoT, Interoperability and Open System architecture to the lighting, building automation and IT industries.

The White Lady building in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) is a former Philips factory built in 1930 in which light bulbs were made. Renovated by the City of Eindhoven it is now a national industrial monument and in daily use as offices. Architects from all over the world study and visit the building for its remarkable design.

GGD Brabant-Zuidoost
(Municipal Health Service), the 5th floor tenant, has embarked on a renovation journey to update to LED using the latest controls architecture for lights. In the last quarter of 2017 400 luminaires, with a mix of manufacturers, wired PoE and wireless controls will be installed for a 3-6 month trial period starting January 2018. GGD can look forward to energy savings, enhanced lighting comfort and personal controls using apps.
